Day Care and Student Supervision
San Fernando Valley Academy provides for supervision of both elementary and high school students thirty minutes before and after school Monday through Friday. Students present on campus other than the above stated hours will be sent to and charged for Daycare Service. The Day Care contract is available at the Administration Office.
Students are dismissed at the following times:K-2nd 2:30 PM
3rd & 4th: 2:45 PM
5th & 6th 3:15 PM
7th & 8th 3:00 PM
Day Care charges per hour are:$8.00 - one child
$7.00 - 2nd child
$6.00 - 3rd child or more<

Please be sure to sign your child out every day, and be sure to make necessary arrangements to pick up your child on time, thereby avoiding extra charges.
Ending times are strictly enforced. Please refer to Day Care contract and/or information below.
A 20% discount for afternoon Day Care will apply if monthly payment is made in advance. Payment can be made to the Administration Office or paid directly to the Day Care Director at the beginning of each month.
Minimum-days are a short school day in which the students are out at 12:30 pm. The rate is $1.50 per student per hour or a fraction thereof if a student is left at Day Care. There are no extra fees for pre-paid student(s) on minimum-days.
The parent/guardian agrees not to leave student(s) in Day Care before the opening time in the morning and after the closing time in the afternoon. In the case a student(s) is dropped off before or picked up after the operating hours the rate is: $1.00 per minute per student, up to a maximum amount of $60.00. This after hours charge will be paid in cash by the parent/guardian (or person designated) the same day of the service. The Director may terminate the student's Day Care privileges if the parent/guardian has incurred after hour services for more than one time in a month (Refer to Day Care Program flyer). For the protection of a student, to the discretion of the Day Care Director, the Los Angeles County Child Protective Services Agency may be notified when a student is left before and after the hours of operation for consecutive times or for an extended period of time.
If the parent/guardian is in default of payment for the Day Care services more than 2 days, the parent/guardian agrees to terminate the use of Day Care until the account(s) is brought current.
Supervision of students at appropriate extra curricular school activities will be provided by SFVA. However, students are not to remain on campus after school waiting for such activities to begin. Supervision will only be provided during the time of actual activity. Parents leaving their children on campus unsupervised do so at their own risk.
