1When do we begin the admission process?
The admission process for applicants runs throughout the school year, but especially during Summer vacation.
2When do we submit the application?
The Admissions Office encourages families to submit the application as soon as possible. We continue to accept applications all year If you require any additional information, please contact the Registrar at pguzman@sfva.org or (818) 349-1373. The Principal is available at (818) 468-3827
3When do we schedule a visit for our child?
Students applying to San Fernando Valley Academy can schedule a visit to the school when so desired. Parents and close relatives are welcome to visit too. For an appointment please contact the Registrar at (818) 349-1373 or the Principal at (818) 468-3827 .
4How do we apply for financial aid?
For information with regards to applying for Tuition Assistance, please contact your local church. The school offers two programs: Matching and Three-Way, programs that are coordinated with your local church.
5If we are applying for Tuition Assistance, does our child stand a lesser chance of being accepted?
No, all admission decisions are made on academic criteria. Committee members do not take into account a family’s ability to pay for tuition. SFVA encourages parents to contact the local church.
6When will we know if our child has been accepted?
The decision to accept or reject the enrollment of a student is normally decided within two (2) days, if all the required information is being received by the Registrar's office.
7When will we know if our family will receive Tuition Assistance?
The Tuition Assistance is decided by your local church. You have to contact your local church Pastor or Treasurer.
8When must we formally enroll our child?
Registration completion at San Fernando Valley Academy may be done as soon as a student has been accepted. This includes all International Students.
9Is there bus transportation?
Presently bus service is not available, but you can contact other parents to make a carpool schedule and help each other.
10What are the school hours?
School starts at 8:00 am and ends at 3:26 p.m. for High School and Junior High School students, 3:20 p.m. for 5th and 6th grade students, 2:45 p.m. for 3rd and 4th grade students and 2:30 p.m. for Kindergarten thru 2nd grade students.
