Philanthropy & Giving

San Fernando Valley Academy, like all independent schools, relies on charitable gifts from alumni, parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, and friends to fulfill its mission. Charitable gifts have made the difference for students at SFVA since its establishment in 1902.

Today, charitable giving continues to make a vital difference. These monies support the ongoing operations of the Academy, enabling SFVA to work toward maintaining a socio-economically perse student body by keeping tuition accessible and providing scholarships. Charitable giving also facilitates SFVA's ability to retain talented faculty members by providing competitive salaries, while continuing to attract high-quality faculty members for all students.

San Fernando Valley Academy is a registered 501(c)3 organization. Charitable contributions made to San Fernando Valley Academy are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

A San Fernando Valley Academy education is a purposeful blend of strong academics, music, biblical tutelage and athletics that uniquely prepares students to succeed in the world beyond our community.

Within our community of mutual trust and respect, students undertake a journey of self-discovery that prepares them for the world they will explore, and help shape. San Fernando Valley Academy students graduate with a readiness for college and a strong love for learning.

The cost of a San Fernando Valley Academy education, like many independent schools, is not completely covered by tuition and fees. Charitable gifts from alumni, parents, grandparents, parents and grandparents of alumni, and special friends bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating each student.

SFVA offers a variety of ways to support this value-based education, including gifts of cash, appreciated securities, and planned gifts. Each method brings tax benefits to the donor.
